After a along sabbatical...

Last year has been very eventful, the details of which I still cant make public, but I have come back stronger, rising from the ashes of a cold bitter battle as a winner. It ain't over yet but I have mastered the winning moves. The haunted now turns the hunter....

Karma == Good ? Heaven | Hell

Is there really a place in this universe such as Heaven or Hell. The answer is No. Heaven and Hell is on this earth. We make life hell for ourselves on this very own earth by doing bad karma and causing pain. Life is beautiful and heavenly when all you do is good. The rules are simple. The life we get to live is a direct result of the choices we make and what we make out of things that happen with us.

TFTP Server setup on Ubuntu 11.04

The original poster of this is here

Get the required packages first.

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install tftp-hpa tftpd-hpa

The default location for for TFTP files is /var/lib/tftpboot. You can set a different location later if you'd like, but you must chmod and chown the directory you choose.

sudo mkdir /var/lib/tftpboot
sudo chown nobody.nogroup /var/lib/tftpboot
sudo chmod 777 /var/lib/tftpboot

Edit the TFTP server configuration file to put the service in daemon mode and set a custom directory you may have chosen above.

sudo vi /etc/default/tftpd-hpa

Edit the file to your liking.
#Defaults for tftpd-hpa
OPTIONS="-l -s /var/lib/tftpboot"

Start the TFTP server. sudo /etc/init.d/tftpd-hpa start

Linux Mint 12 vs Ubuntu 11.04

I am experimenting with various distros. I have been on ubuntu 10.10 - 11.04 for a while and it runs rocks stable. I have got everything configured the way I like.

Based on the reviews on Distrowatch, I have also tried a hand at Linux Mint 12 which is a leading flavor of ubuntu but it found it be unstable and had issues like freezes without even beating it too much. But overall a nice distro for a desktop , very clean Gnome interface. Great if you are a linux noob and coming from a windows background.
